Madeleine in school

Madeleine has had her first school class last week. She has needed more interaction but I have been reluctant to leave her for any length of time, I just miss her too much and I don't want to miss anything. Our compound has a Montessori type school in the clubhouse. We did a try out and decided to start her this past Monday. The ladies are very nice that speak to all of the kids in Chinese. There are about 5 western kids and 3 Chinese kids. Madeleine is really enjoying it and a nice benefit is she is taking one nap a day and it is three hours, the downside of which is I have NOTHING to do!! The class is two hours and on her third class I managed to leave the room for 45 minutes. Progress people, progress!! I will have to get her H1N1 shot before we do anything like this at home.

  1. Thank you for the updates and photos! We've been looking forward to hearing about your adventures. It sounds as if you are enjoying this go around in Asia. Sorry the zoo was a let down. When you get home let's compare Family Day notes (Rob calls it Family Re-Unification Day).

BTW, people always stop us to tell us how good looking Romi is too. Must be something about our babies!

Did you read that Kim and Kent are adopting again?

    Safe travels. We miss you!

  2. I think that is FANTASTIC! She's able to play with other kids during the day and be exposed to the language even more. How cool! Shelby thinks she knows the language since she watches Ni Hao Kai-Lan and Sagwa. LOL

Trust me, you'll find things to do soon once you get use to having some time to yourself. It will be different once you are back in the states. It's much easier to get chores done when you are home alone! ;-) Oh, or go to the spa! Even better!!
