Annie to Storage

It's a sad day in the Richards house (er, garage). With Dad's help, we delivered Annie to a long term auto storage. She has a nice new home sitting next to another classic German in the form of a '65 Mercedes SL and the Italian Ferraris are just across the aisle.

House for Rent

House went on the market for lease last week. The realotor is confident we should have a tenant before May 1 - let's keep our fingers crossed. Signed the lease for the apartment in Sinagpore. Just cleaning closets now. 5 weeks and counting - it won't be long.

It's Official - Moving to Singapore

This week we made a bunch of things official. Signed the contract with my company, made an offer on a townhouse in Holland Village, submitted our applications for resident visas, and scheduled the movers. There's no backing out now. May 1 will be our first day in Singapore.

During the weekends we have been busy packing away more than half of the house. Less than half will be going with us. It just doesn't make sense to carry all of our stuff to the other side of the world for such a short period.


Our townhouse is in the Holland Village area which is popular with expats. It's not near the MRT so we will end up leasing a car once we arrive. Aside from the fact that it is new, we like it because it's away from the hustle and bustle of the city and in the trees.
